"...provide and promote a secure, caring and safe environment..."

The management and staff promote the nursery as a home from home and are friendly and approachable.

Children are loved and cared for in a safe, warm and happy atmosphere with consistent care where children can develop their confidence and independence at their own pace.

The nursery promotes a stimulating environment with lots of opportunities through different activities to develop each child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical skills. Practitioners meet the children’s needs through sensitive and appropriate interactions that promote children’s self esteem.

The nursery promotes equal respect towards parents, families and carers with sensitive regard to culture, gender, impairment and religion.

Practitioners plan first hand experiences which enable each child to make choices as they develop their knowledge, skills and understanding, encouraging children to try new activities in a safe and supportive environment.

The setting promotes children as individuals and value each child and what they each have to offer. Children have equal opportunities to participate in all activities. The practitioners encourage positive behaviour, so when children play and interact with each other, they learn to share, take turns, co-operate and solve problems.

The children progress through 3 age groups. The babies in the Dolphin room for children aged 0-2 years. From here the children progress onto the tweenies in the Tiger room for children aged 2-3 years and then finally move to pre-school in the Sea-lion room for children aged 3-5 years old. From here the children will transition to school. This process can be very difficult for both parents/ carers and the child. We ensure that your child is ready to go to school developmentally and give parents/carers and the children all of the suport they need to make this transition as smooth as possible.
